RDPL is a storytelling archival project. RDPL will unpack themes associated with memory, and legacy. The artist will collect and archive audio stories from Black women elders from the Newark area. Together they will create a group quilt consisting of traditional quiltmaking materials, audio and video stories and songs, shadow box stories, and other immersive mediums. 

A film about two women who have reached the end, while one is ready to conclude the wild ride, the other finds the end not as easy to succumb to.

This format-bending profile of Robert Wilmote reveals the story of a Liberian refugee forced to flee the most drastic and terrible circumstances imaginable. Having narrowly escaped the ravages of war in Africa, Robert’s struggles continue in the U.S. when he succumbs to the gangster lifestyle, only to become a convicted felon. 

Tommy Cuba, a renowned skateboarder from Newark, NJ, has competed in top tournaments and been profiled in top skating magazines. He is one of the founders of “Shorty’s Skatepark,” built by hand from scraps, a legendary hub for skating enthusiasts from all over the country. Yet, his deliberately insulated world cannot prepare him for the looming forces of change.

Pablo, Uniqua and Tyrone use their imaginations to become wizards and cast spells! Their spells turn Pabo into a giant and then into a super tiny wizard. Sing along to "I Know a Spell" in this music video!
